"For You" Card

Pretty Party 6x6 paper pad by Crate Paper.
I love this little card, with its raised butterflies and contrasting sentiment lettering.  The edge punch is by fiskars and embosses whilst punching!

Paper crafting a little bed for Betsy McCall

Look at what I made for my little girl... A paper bed for her Betsy Doll. I used various Scrapbooking papers and card stock. I even plumped up the pillows using some large foam adhesive squares. The 'sheets' are attached at the sides with doubled sided tape.

So many options! So many delicious papers to choose from.

Lil' Primrose - Tea Time Card

Here is a sweet card I have made using the Lil' Primrose - Tea Time stamp set by Kaisercraft.
I added punched hearts in peach toned cardstock attached with dimensional adhesive, tied some baking twine around the edge and added the sentiment with kaisercraft's tiny letter stickers.  I bought my stamp set from Anna's Craft Cupboard (An Aussie online retailer).

Simple and Sweet!

Quick Notepads Using Your Scrappy Stash

I came across an old quick video tutorial by Kristina Werner, back when she represented Two Peas in a Bucket here that I thought was a great idea.

I love a craft that is quick and satisfying whilst also being a great idea and useful day to day.

Make your own notepad/notebook/jotter... what ever you want to call it.  I guess you dont really need a tute for it.  All I did was use double sided tape on the spine of a notepad and cut a piece of scrapbooking paper big enough to fold over the top edge becoming the notebook's front and back cover at once.  Then used my mini alphas and stamps to add titles to the front of some.

I made lots! And even added them to party favor bags, because - you know, kids love writing and doodling...

I'm dreaming of notebook sets tied up with string... ah, the simple things in life!

Atlas Envelopes

Last weekend was spent at our school's Annual FARE.   It was a tonne of fun, hard work and great to see the community band together to raise funds for the school.  I managed to pick up a lovely old Atlas that by it's front cover did not look like much of a find..  Water damaged and barely hanging on by its threads.  But inside! The pages inside were fantastic! Maps of the world!  All I was thinking was, I need to make envelopes with these pages.  So I did...  And some are now on "Made It" for sale.

Smash journals look like so much fun!

I really want one, but have to source them online. No patience for that! I decided to 'make' something similar for my 7 year old boy and came up with this journal below. Hours of practice writing goodness in one little 200 page book. I added stamps, hand made envelopes, pictures and tags to various pages to make it 'smash'ing. He loves it! Now onto one for the little miss...

Want to Make Your Own Envelopes??

I found this wonderful link on Pinterest and just had to share... Mel from Melstampz went fishing around the internet back in 2008 and found 100 various links to Envelopes in all sizes and wonderful papers.  I can't wait to find the time to have a proper look-see and make a bunch of fab envelopes!

Thanks Mel!

Mini Card Set with Vellum Envelopes

There is something about vellum envelopes that make me happy.  They are just so darn cute!  I just had to make some... so I did.  These littlies turned out quite sweet and could really be used for a number of occasions.  Hence they are blank! A butterfly peeps through a cutout on the front of the card.  Just to add that little something special. I've just added this set to my Madeit store...

Little Red Riding Hood

Look! Little Red Riding Hood on a tiny zipper pouch.  I added an off white minky dot fleece as a lining and contrasting red zip.  Available now in my Madeit store (link to the right).

There are a few other story book fabrics that are calling my name... hmm... humpty dumpty...

I absolutely adore the papers and accents from Cosmo Cricket

Love, love, love Cosmo Cricket's papers.  These littlies were created with a 6X6 paper pad. Lush!
